If you have a laptop you take with you in different places on a regular basis, then you probably need to change all sorts of settings again and again. NCSwitch can help you get passed this step quickly and easily. It gives you the possibility of creating and saving settings profiles, which can be applied at a moment's notice. Different firewall rules, power plans, IP settings and many other aspects can be changed at once without any effort.

The software is free to try for a limited period of time, but without any significant restrictions. It can be installed in just a few seconds, without making any complex configurations. The hardware requirements are modest and you don't have to install any additional tools or services.

When you run NCSwitch, a wizard will help you save your current PC configurations. After assigning a name and an icon to your profile, you may choose what settings to save. The software can save your firewall rules, IP settings, power plan, hosts and much more. What's more, you can choose which of these settings categories to save. You can opt for individual ones or all of them.

Depending on what settings categories you select, you may need to make some additional selections during the following steps. When everything is done, the application will create a shortcut for the new configurations profile and it will place it on your desktop. Now you can go to the office or other places, change your configurations if you want to be more secure and create a new profile for that place. Whenever you need to return to your original settings or to the settings of a previously visited place, you only need to double click a desktop shortcut and the application will take care of the rest.

With NCSwitch, you can switch between different PC configurations at a moment's notice, with a single click.

Pros

You can save your current PC configurations as a profile. A wizard guides you through the process one step at a time. The application is lightweight, it works fast and it doesn't ask for too many resources.

Cons

The application looks old from a graphical point of view.
